![]() ![]() 20 minutes after the CEO interview, I got an offer. I am by no means the best product designer (oh no I'm good, but not g r e a t ), and I got the feel that they're just looking for someone interested in growing with them. I grew to enjoy selling myself (no not like that), let them know why they should invest in me. ![]() Each of the 3 had very different personalities, asking about what was important to THEM and to YOU. Honestly after the first interview with Liz, each new step was exciting so I really didn't mind one more. Now, I had great talks with the hiring manager and PM. Been on the bench at my firm going on my 3rd week. I wanted to get it done ASAP (since it was Friday), so I set it at 2am my time.Īfter some Friday night fun, it was time. What people are saying about Jump Join the conversation on. I thought I had done a good job with the HR/manager interview (besides my cat jumping into webcam view), then I was hit by one more boss battle: a CEO interview. I would be allowed to set my own schedules, deadlines, work wherever I wanted. (Unless that's your jam, then by all means). Jumpcut practices what they preach, and that means you won't be forced into the monotony, cog-in-the-machine-type thing. If you're looking for the perfect 9 to 5, this ain't it. I remember explaining in STORY-FORM what my average day was like down to the hour. Mostly because the questions deviated from the basic "Where do you see yourself in x years," strengths and weaknesses etc. Animators have pretty much ditched the platform for years now regardless. But oh no no, I couldn't do it with these people. Even if the ad revenue nowadays is shit for animators due to adblocking and HEAVILY favoring minutes watched (aka lets plays and vloggers) it's a huge sum they're left out on because Google's automated system is garbage. This means I had gotten awfully good at pulling answers out of my ***. Jump cuts can be problems, but with a little creativity, the Warp Flow transition, and the Smart Split. If you’re happy with the result, great If not, just like any other transition, adjust the length of it if you think it gives you better results. Now, I was actively searching for jobs at this point. Place the cursor before the new transition and watch. In fact, I felt myself grow a bit (I had to switch into sweat pants as I type this). Some questions I was asked (especially by the CEO) made me tap into the same areas in my brain childhood trauma and 3-legged clowns are stored. I'm rating this as "difficult" because of how deep in my brain I had to dig to give them the most honest answers. After passing a stage, the next one was scheduled as soon as I was available. It began with an email screening, followed by 3 separate video calls with HR, Management, and the CEO. I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Jumpcut in Sep 2019 Interview ![]()
